Because I just can't stop........

I guess I must be very prolific with the knitting these days!!! But then again, small projects combined with all the reality tv shows equals lots of finished objects!!! (Does anyone else watch those crappy VH1 shows?? Trashy as they are, I love 'em!) I really have three more items finished up than what I have for today, but two need slight finishing and one needs to be blocked. Maybe I can get that done today. Maybe.

So the first is a "shawlette" (I hate that word but there is really no other way to describe it) or kerchief, except I am NOT wearing this over my head!!! LOL. The brand of yarn that the pattern calls for I am not a fan of. Sorry all you Noro fans, I hate yarns with slubs and lumps and little bits of twig in them. I chose a yarn from the stash and went to town. I will admit love the result, especially the little picot border! And I've already worn it!!!!

Pattern: Silk Kerchief by Kate Gagnon
Yarn: Mountain Colors "Bearfoot" in Sun River
Needles: Size 3 Straight
Modifications: Added a picot bind off for the border!!!
Comments: LOVE it!!! An easy knit and it worked up fast!

Next is a "Candy Bag". Or I think it is more like a "Candy Cozy"!! :) And doesn't everyone need a cozy for your candy?? This one is for my mother and filled with Cadbury eggs!! YUM! I think this is a terrific idea for a gift. You could make them up and then fill them with, oh let's say, cool little bags of coffee and a mug, votive holders and a few candles, candy or course, or it would make a good hospital visit gift with some little travle size lotions and tissues, etc.

Pattern: Mandy's Candy Bag
Yarn: Sugar and Cream Cotton in Lavender Ice
Needles: Size 6 DPN
Other: 1 Hank of matching grosgrain ribbon
Comments: LOVE!!! <3

Well, that's all the show and tell for today. I do have some new projects (shhh...it's a secret) in the works which are NOT knitting related. Please don't faint!!!! :)
