Private Eyes

So today was gardening day! Yah, I can hear you chuckling, but damn I'm going to give this yard a good go! I actually started on Friday but never really got to finish (see Saturday's post), and I can put it off no longer. See, my pachysandra had a fungus. Well, it was wilted with brown spots and lots of dead shriveled stems (pretty, huh?). So that means, I have to pull out all the stems with brown patches, cut all the dead steams away and pray. You'd pray too if you were a plant in my garden!

I went out early (after the school buses left), armed with my pruning shears, wheelbarrow, and ipod. Must have music while I prune. (Note to self: make a "music to prune by" playlist on itunes) As I was sitting on the ground, pulling dead plants from their roots, I thought, "hey, this isn't half bad". And then I realized why I NEVER did any gardening at the last house.

Prying eyes. No seriously, anytime I left the house, it was like being on reality tv. You know you are being watched, but you can't see anyone. Just like on Big Brother!!! I looked around today, I could not see the neighbors! It was quiet and I knew no one was looking out their window, watching. It was peaceful. I liked it!

I liked it so much, I made plans to decorate the flower bed and the window boxes in the front of the house!! I know, I'm as shocked as you!!! (I'll take pictures to prove it!!!)
