Cable Channel. Our house today is in mourning. ESPN Classic (Channel 48) is no longer available. For the past few years (ever since Comcast took over as our cable provider), we have gotten ESPN Classic. It's been off for a week now. I called on Monday and the customer service "gal" said she would "refresh" the signal, and it would be back within 24 hours. 48 hours have come and gone and Mark stares at a blank screen. I called again today, something about us NOT having digital (read more expensive) cable and having to have someone come out to badger us, I mean look at the problem. We pay enough for cable services so I am not giving into the pressure of digital cable. Would I love BBC America, and the other channels you bet, but I don't want to have to sell my teeth to pay for it! Ten minutes later, the customer service calls me back, we are NOT supposed to get that channel. It was mistake (yah, for a few YEARS) and it is no longer in the lineup. Apparently, the "audited" the channels and found the error! So I asked her if I got the digital package I bet it was available, right??? **sly wink here** She said NO and it was no longer available in my area. It's all very interesting to me. Someone is not telling the truth. Frankly, I think the stations will be disappearing one by one, until we switch. Remember when my VH1 channel was out and miraculously came back on?? Something is fishy. Now mind you I am NOT disappointed in this loss of this station, but Mark sure is!!!
